It wasn't a mistake. Look at the windows button and how many people remove that fucker from their keyboard.

I have actually never used the windows button and I use windows PC's since 1998, when I got Celeron 433Mhz with Riva TNT 2, memories, I just found GTA2 and GP500 in the drawer and Vista 64bit seems to handle these games just fine. Smile

The 5xShift function pissed me off a lot, I had no idea, that you could turn that function off. I found that out about after 5 yrs of playing and swearing, I even stopped using the shift key in every game. Laughing

You don't have to hate the windows key just because it has a Windows logo on it!

Some of the shortcuts are pretty bloody useful:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_key

Windows key & 1,2,3 (etc) is handy - it launches programs from your taskbar. 1 is the leftmost, 2 the next and so on.

Windows & left arrow (or right arrow, or up) - makes the active window cover half the screen.

Windows & Home - minimises all applications except the one you have open.

etc. etc.

I like the Windows button.

Windows + L is useful at work.

And Windows + Tab makes me look professional. Laughing
