Think about it. Maybe you're growing marijuana in your home and you sold or gave some to a couple of friends and now the police are at your door to search the premises on suspicion of you being a drug dealer. Bad enough, but what if there is a TV camera crew in tow as well? Would you feel comfortable having TV cameras peering into every corner of your home?

I'm seeing it more and more on reality police shows including the BBC, and when I think about it from the perspective of the "suspect" it seems like a clear invasion of privacy. Does a minor offense justify intruding like like that?

Wouldn't they have to get you to sign a disclaimer first anyhow before it's allowed to be broadcast?

Depends if you consider turning over a bedroom or two over to growing what you know is illegal and certainly more than you need for personal use a minor offence. I'm thinking from small acorns mights oaks grow so might as well stop the small stuff before it gets out of hand.

Depends what the poilice were saying.

"OMGZ this is the strongest, most evil, super skunk we've ever come across" = free advertising

"This cretin was selling soap bar to kiddies and we've just found four 9 bars of the stuff Sick" = no rezpect from anyone

In your case Ste, expect the BBC broadcast to say you were producing and trafficking vile beastiality and kiddie porn. Expect Nobcat with a large blurry pink patch. It doesn't have to be true, it just has to make good TV for whatever they're trying to sell to the drooling retards that watch.

I presume a disclaimer must be signed, but is it not possible there's some sort of back hander involved?

Promises of a reduced sentence or kinder treatment or whatever if you let them air the video?

Good question, from what I've seen they don't seem particularly keen to be seen on TV, but the police sure like to get their own faces on the gogglebox.

The police use of searches seems generally excessive, especially the methods of entry. There is rarely justification for smashing the doors to pieces on a weed "farm", it's not like they can flush the whole plant.
