Well! CBT is passed, and im onto my first bike. Want something to get me into work and back, which preferrably hits the national speed limit!

People keep mentioning cbr 125's but i hear they're fIrly small, and im a 6 foot two lanky piece of monkey wazz! So prefer something to fit my frame. I have about 2k to spend, and have all my gear (helmet etc)

Cheers for any help!

I'd say the CG would be the bike for you. Thumbs Up

EDIT: Or YBR, the only two bikes I could think of, at the moment, since the CBR is off the game.

Varadero is the best 125 for big people as far as I know. The rest are small but it doesn't really matter too much, you won't be uncomfortable.

I'm 6' and had a CG for a year and it was fine for size, as long as you realise that all 125s (apart from the varadero) look a bit small.

My brother now has my old CG and uses it in the winter and he's a little bit bigger than me and he seems to be fine on it.

Sit on various bikes and pick the one that feels best.

Would it be worth just doing a direct access course and getting a cheap 600? That way i wouldnt be so limited by frame size

God yes. If you can get a license, get it. There's no point in dicking around on a 125 any more, you're just making things unnecessarily hard for yourself. Small, slow, ropey brakes, skinny tyres, hard to see, easily pushed around, L plates get you treated like more of a subhuman.
