If I bought a top box for a YBR-125, would a helmet fit in it? I'm not quite sure how big these things are.

They come in all different sizes. Apply the television purchase strategy, go one bigger than you imagine you could ever possibly need or want.

If you but one that states a helmet will fit in it, then yes, I expect so.

If you buy one that states it won't, no.

Very best bet though is to go along with your helmet and see if it fits in the on you want to buy Smile.
(Exactly what I did - happy top box owner!)

Unless you're getting a very sturdy box, it's likely you could just rip it open.

Mostly mine used to contain my smelly gym gear and discarded Tupperware sandwich box Smile.

Helmet was left in there when in town etc, but I never particularly worried about it.
