Jokes aside ( inevitable, there will be some ) but really, if you dont have a top box, what do you do when walking around town. Seen some chained to handlebars, but whats best, rather than carrying the bugger around, leaving it in a shop, then backtracking to find it.

Man up and carry it around... unless you want to latch it to your bike and risk people trying to steal it... or animals pissing on/in it.

I maintain a constant erection. Can be tough at times, but being able to create my own personal "hook" to place it on is invaluable to me. When a petrol station assistant asks me to remove my helmet, it's always fun pulling my trousers down and starting to have a quick tug. Thumbs Up

Most of the bikes I have owned had a helmet lock next to the seat release catch. ZX-7R doesn't however, so I'm having to carry my helmet around with me at the moment. Sad

Just carry it around and be proud, that you didn't have to be stuck in the traffic jam, to get there. Cool

Top box or cheap bicycle lock through the visor and around a fork.

^^^Agree, but prefer to keep visor shut and loop through the double D-ring.

I'd guess that you're more likely to fall off and knacker a helmet than someone or something doing bad things to it.

Reminds me of when I fucked an ex wearing my helmet.

Actually, that never happened. I want it to happen now though.

You wish to see my penis...erect and poking through my Alpinestars?

Your wish is my command.

If I'm in a shithole I will carry it, if I'm in a nice area I latch it onto the hook under the passenger seat and if I'm out at a bike meet etc then I will happily leave it beside the bike on the floor if I can't be bothered to latch it

Carry it with me and use it as a shopping basket if I go in a shop.

Put the chain that's around a lamp post and my bike, through the helmet and face it down to keep the rain out.

If it's raining really bad I'll use my gym bag to carry in it along with my boots and gloves.

People knock scooters but the one I use at work is quite nippy and being able to just throw my gear into the storage compartment under the seat is so nice when you're taking you gear on and off 30+ times a day.

I just carry it with me, cost far too much money to leave it somewhere. Knowing my luck some pikey would steal the visor or sonething

Comes in handy as a basket in shops too

I have a topbox but I tend to be in a bit of a rush to get in to work in the morning so tend to run towards work while taking my helmet off

I like to carry it anyway, put my arm through it and hold it on my elbow if I need both hands for something Very Happy

I'm a top box guy. It appeals to my sense of organisation and lack of style. However, my brother in law (a bike-less biker) says he used to have a waterproof, wire-mesh bag that he used to keep stuff in. It was designed to be chained to the bike and he said you could take a Stanley knife to it and not get through the material.

Has anyone heard of these as neither of us can find them now.

Carry it with me, can't afford for anything to happen to it especially as it cost nearly £300.

I carry my lid into work, but when out and about with the wife, I can get both of our helmets into the very unfashionable top box, which is big enough to house a family of four.

If we have a week's worth of groceries in the box, my bike also comes with with a cable lock under the seat. I've used that once or twice.

Edit: Just realized I didn't even mention the "fake tank" on the NC700. I used to use it all the time for my helmet (the Shoei *just* fits), but now that space is taken up with a toolkit, spare visor and gloves, my hi-vis for nighttime riding, etc. I also now have one of those intercom doo-hickeys on the side of the helmet, so it probably wouldn't fit any longer.

I hang mine on my mirror/bar end. Or if it's the open face, it sits nicely on the front mudguard.
