Is it just me or are these 'bike stolen' threads becoming more and more frequent?
Fucking pikey bastards stealing people's pride and joy...
Nice bike mate, shame some dole-dossing wanker decided that your money was his to take...
What's the reg? I guess if people know it then it increases the chance from fuck all to 0.5% of you getting it back...
Good luck with the search mate |

Reg is VF07 KNL. I'm sure the bike must have been put into the back of a van and taken away, as I had a chain and disc lock on it, and no evidence of them being taken off. I didn't hear a thing, and I definitely would have heard if the bike had started up.
Unfortunately I think if the bike is still in one piece it either won't be for much longer, or it's already in a container on its way somewhere.
Police seem kind of useless as well, I've never had this kind of thing happen to me before, and when I called to report it last night they basically just said the crime has been logged, the earliest the police could come over and speak to me about it is Friday. I'm off on holiday tomorrow, so the best they could do was book me an appointment at a police station miles away from where I am for Thursday morning. Very frustrating.
Not that this information is helpful unless you're some kind of sadist, but it was actually my birthday yesterday. Yup, my bike was actually stolen on my birthday. |

Where did you chain it to? A chain on the floor tied to nothing is no good to anyone but a thief.
Shit news though buddy, hope you find it |

Get back onto them and make sure they have adhered to their service standards. Theft of a vehicle is a fairly serious crime, so they should be taking it seriously.
Although they don't actually have to visit you, they should have taken full details of the bike, confirmed the vin and engine number and any unique or parts that are different from normal, in case it's found before you have your appointment. They should also have had someone around to do some door knocking. |
