don't thrash it, ride easy for the first 600-700 hundred miles, liberally coat in ACF30, check fasteners regular for the first 10 thousand miles.

Or do what I did...and a fair few others have.

Turn it on, warm it up. Run it hard for 25 miles and let it cool down. Repeat that then do an oil change. Make sure its thoroughly warm before you thrash it.

Ignore the stupid "gentle run in" bollocks. I've ragged the fuck out of my engines and they are fine. Regular oil changes.

You'll want to do around 4 when hit 500 miles, so 50, 100, 200 and 500 miles. Do that and as long as you have warmed it up and remember an oil change every 1k, you'll be fine. Check the chinky bolts though.

*** By running hard, I don't mean bounce off the limiter, just use the revs, if it redlines at 10k, stop at 8k and use excessive engine braking ***
