Rode one of these today, a k6. The engine is perfect. Loads of low down grunt, and a fantastic rush at the top end. Didn't scare me at all, was totally controllable, unlike thou's that scare the shit out of me.

I've now decided on the bike I'm saving for.

Cool story sister.

Cool story indeed! Rode a mates K4 a few weeks ago.... Felt incredible coming from 33bhp. Daren't WOP until fourth! Pulled like an absolute train and the gearbox was more slick than an oiled eel.

I'd really like a k4 or k5 in yellow to replace my k2 six.

Hmm.

I read reports these are an underrated bike, best keep it quiet or the prices rise! Nice to hear someone's opinion.

The GSXR felt tight, nimble and had a "thrash" me vibe going for it, along with that extra power that's so usable on the road. Would love to ride the thou' version on track, but on the road it would scare me. Not that I couldn't handle it, but I wouldn't ride it anywhere near it's limits. I'd push myself harder then come off.. Laughing

Post house buying. I've short-listed it to one of these, a ZX9R or a early noughties Fire blade.

Beware of the k6/7 if it hasn't already had a better rectifier fitted.

If it hasn't it will blow and then you will need both that and a new stator down the line

Idiots put it right on top of radiator

A friend owns a black GSXR750K8 and she loves it much better than her old 600

I had a K1 600 and moved upto a K7 750 couple of years ago, awesome bike and to be fair just a bit of a difference performance wise but you don't have to work it through the gears as much but is just as nimble through the bendy stuff. Have never ridden a 1000 but it the 750 is more than enough for me.
