Sachs 650 Carburetor Problem please help!

Hello theres a plastic component on the bottom of one of the float bowls on my sachs 650 that has two vacuum pipes go to it and an electrical plug with two wires. First of all what does this do? I broke one of the plastic spigets off !, I have bipassed it by joining the two vacuums together.. whats the implications? Is there a sachs agent who can supply the part? Appreciate any insight cheers

Don't quote me on this but Three Cross Motorcycles in Dorset might be able to help? possibly? Maybe? I think? .
They used to be Sach Dealers, but I don't know if they still are.
They helped me out a year back with bits for my XTC.

thank you, you are correct he did say I will have to call back tomorrow when computers are back up, and also said if he hasnt got one in stock you cant get them anymore! So fingers crossed! Also another question, the two carbs open together perfectly in sync, are they not supposed to be 'staged' i.e one kicking in slightly later? I'm used to the XT setups with 'YDIS' dual carbs, this setup seems aimed at high rev performance otherwise? Single carb good for low down running, two carbs provide enough juice for high end running?? I don't mean to oversimplify but still, cheers

Do they open up in sync when you very first twist the throttle?
Or do they end up in sync at full throttle? (throttle cable lengths and route).
Does the choke only utilise only one carb?
Do they have their needles set on differing heights and does that have an effect?

They are in sync from the very start of opening throttle and open the same amount (only one throttle cable), the chokes work on both carbs and do fully close/open and are clear. The needle are in the same position also. I have just given them another clean and blow through although they look immaculate and have blocked off one of the vacuums rather than just joining them all as that bit I broke is sort of valve so would close off the vacuum at some point (imo), at least thats my guess. I think they have overcomplicated it with the whole recycling unburnt fumes etc, there are about 6 vac pipes all going to different contraptions and junctions! cheers for your input
