I have 1 bin.

If I really had to split my rubbish, I'd go fucking loopy Laughing It i rubbish, it isn't meant to stay indoors so its all going into the bins.
If they refuse to take them, then that is their issue... employ some other prick to sort through it Laughing

No, just sat around here for a while Wink Very Happy

On topic.
Our council says you must put any extra recycling that doesn't fit into the plastic boxes into clear plastic bags.

Confused the nearest we have are the free (until 2015) supermarket carrier bags.

So then we have recycling in non-recyclable bags! Confused
I suspect the stuff just gets dumped onto ships bound for China and/or Africa for the locals to sort*. All in the interest of meeting government targets of course.

Oh! and your main rubbish bin has to be closed. Cannot be open by more than an inch. So between collections some fortnights that gets tricky.

Thumbs Up

Ours is pretty good, you can put tins, glass, paper, card and most plastic trays and bottles in just one recycling bin (Scarborough)

We don't even get a black bin here without paying for one. Fucking ridiculous.

We get a "green waste" bin, like leaves and shit. Also a glass recycling box but no main bin and no normal recycling bin which = foxes and birds go mental and rip apart bags over night.

Anyone got a black wheelie bin spare and wants to drop it off in MK?

They told us to get rid of the little boxes as well. At least these won't fly away when it gets windy

Surely it's a pain in the ass for bin men as well? Unless they have separate trucks now too Shocked

I have 3 different coloured bins and two recycling plastic containers. I chuck everything in one bin and keep the other bins for 'emergencies', the recycling containers are now in the garage with bike bits in them.

As the bleddy cahncil now charge you if your wheelie bin gets nicked or damaged. I will just spray the brown or blue bin black if anything happens to my black bin. Git tae feck if I am paying for another bin. Middle Finger

We have a green and a blue bin. They've recently increased the period between collections for the green one so it forces people into recycling which seems good. Recycling requires barely any effort anyway.

Buy an angle grinder, cut up the unnecessary bins and put the pieces in the bin for plastics.

Dumfries and Galloway council invested millions in a state of the art waste seperation plant that allowed them to tip all their rubbish in it, mince it up and centrifugally sort it into different waste streams. Everyone had one bin, all recyclable waste was recycled

New legislation says waste has to be sorted at home into seperate bins.

Another £24.5 million pounds on new bins.

It is so much of a pain for them that our binmen chucked the boxes into the bin van.

I HATE THE FUCKING BIN MEN.

I have three bins and the cunts are now going to fortnightly.

As for the tip, used to go to a large tip, empty the trailer and then drive off, a big digger would then pick it up and move it. Went to the new tip, cleanest place I have ever seen. Had to hand ball all my rubble into a skip over nearly a 5 foot high side of a skip. Then they had the cheek to complain that a bit of soil had spilt on to the floor.

Next time it will be a spot of fly tipping at the cemetery.
