tzr125 dont start very well, or not at all

it took me an hour to start my bike today,

and then slipped on some diesel forfuksake, and now i am rather shaky

its a kickstart version, i turn the switch on and do everything correctly and it just donesnt start, it doesnt even fire either and then eventually just floods so i have to turn the fuel tap off and kickstart it to get the fuel out, and then try again

Hi

Try not touching the throttle at all when you are trying to start it. Hold the weight on the end of the bar, or the mirror stem, anything to avoid twisting the throttle.

why not twist the throttle?

Hi

Twisting the throttle while kicking it over will often flood them. Use the throttle once it has fired.

My old H100 was like this. Started fine with no throttle and could then be revved, but twist the throttle while starting it and you stood a fair chance of flooding it.

Given that it is a zero cost option, give it a try.

i agree with what they said, all hikes are different, when i first got my cg it would only start with no throttle but after neing serviced will only start with throttle, very strange!!!
also change the spark plug cause it should at least try to start. almost definatly the problem.

I have a little TZR125 i'm doing up, it don't like it when you give it throttle when trying to start so is best to leave the throttle alone until it's started. Also the choke helps a lot to keep the revs going so need for the throttle. The choke is quite hard to get to on mine and also the black end bit has fallen of .
