Anyone else noticed the latest Benelli? A four cylinder 600 no less, with an RRP of £5600. OK, its an imported Chinese motor, but, what the hell, that looks rather good!

Not a good sign when an Italian maker is using Chinese engines. Sad

Why? BMW have been using Chinese built engines for a few years now.

So does this have a Chinese R6 clone engine fitted? Or have I missed the point by a mile?

Fuck that though, early R6 engines could throw enough tantrums after 20'000m of hard use, I can't see a Chinese clone engine being even 1/2 that reliable, as they know nothing surely about how to build a reliable 15000rpm IL4 motor?

Single seat super cub, 110cc, riding it to Catalunya in June from Le Havre, then potentially further afield the year after.

Anyone want a 1983 C70c that needs some work?

Back on topic, the chinese generally fair pretty well on building engines in my experience, it's general build quality on other factors that lets them down.

Thing is, it's not cheap is it.

The clone engines, especially the 156/157 stuff appears to be pretty solid. It is the rest of the bits that fall off and break.

Seriously detuned though at ~80hp Confused
