BBA is apparently the British Bikers Association.
I haven't come across it before and stumbled over it (grazing my knee I'll have you know) while browsing for some other stuff.
Looks quite new. Anyone any experience, stories, etc.?
What exactly has anyone got for £15 annual membership?
For example do I get oodles of pennies off my insurance for being a member of a biking organisation?
Thanks
FWIW my understanding is*...
MAG = Motorcycle Action Group
Traditional meet at a pub, that's it. Oh, the management gets reshuffled based on schoolyard type politics (I'm not friends with you because you ride with them sort of thing).
BMF = British Motorcyclists Federation
Suck up to politicians and see how many committees with free tea and biscuits we can get on. Oh, they hold a rally in a field near Peterborough twice a year. So that's ok then, doing stuff in a field for motorcyclists.
VMCC = The Vintage Motor Cycle Club Limited
For old people (in mind if not also in body) riding old (I mean really old) machines. They produce a nice magazine though and ok if that's your thing. Can get discount from insurance companies for being a member with 25 year old ballpark (ish) bikes.
* please correct me if any of these beliefs are incorrect. Who am I kidding. This is BCF, I should be left in no doubt ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

Ride round in packs terrorising 4x4s... Or so I heard
Not heard of them before either personally, do wonder if half these organisations are just a ''I am a member of club x and you aren't '' thing for many of the membership |
