Recently I got a free Visor and Bike Paint kit via Facebook, Well after riding home tonight in the worst rain I have ever been in since feb last year I said right I am putting this stuff on its supposed to be very good, well just applied it and now need to wait 24hrs I think before i can get it wet so will report back and see how it goes over the next few months.

Meanwhile all the bits I got in the box minus the sponge and high quality microfibre cloth.

Also apparently mud won't stick either so rather than smear/scratch the visor it (In theory) run off.

So far so good, it was raining quite heavy on the way in this morning and I didn't wipe my visor once at all on my journey Thumbs Up

I disagree.

I to was caught in horrendous rain this morning which back traffic up a lot. This meant I pretty much filtered the full 15 mile commute.

Although, I could wipe with my thumb blade thingy, within seconds my visor was back to rain induced mess.
I wasn't filtering at a speed for air pressure to clear the visor too.

Also, the last thing when filtering between two lanes of moving traffic, is having to keep taking my hand off the bars to wipe my visor.

Will be following the OP verdict with close interest. Thumbs Up

got home soaked with only a few spots of wet on the visor (was abit stary on the way home I suspect that is my pinlock being a douche tho.

as for the few spots i think that may be due to me applying it wrong in places (Was rushing)

over all I didn't wipe visor on way home and I didn't die but I need to get some waterproofs Rolling Eyes

I stayed bone dry thankfully.

The rain suit is a god send! Never leaked in the 2 years i've used it. Also the boots are a great bit of kit too.

Just need to sort the visor out. My pinlock isn't seating properly anymore so need to sort it out as its misting up now.

I wear 2 piece leathers, BMW goretex touring boots (Never leaked ever even tho they are now wrecked)

trick with the pinlock is wash with washing up liquid and hot water the but back in the visor when dry will seal like new Smile

Mr Sheen applied to your visor using an old pair of underpants then allowed to dry will sheet the water off for about 45 minutes in heavy rain on a motorway.

After that it's back to normal "IcannotseewherethefuckI'mgoing" service.

So the question is, how long did the OP have it out in the rain for?

30mins ish, its not something you have to keep applying stinkwheel its a one time application and I think am under the impression it bonds on a molecular level

I will not however, be holding my breath. (or maybe I will be to prevent fogging?).

I did not find a pinlock to be of any real use and eventually ripped mine off and threw it away for being useless somewhere along the A1(M) in early January at around 1am. Eventually reverted back to a set of clear safety glasses and an open visor in order to be able to see.

That one was fitted to a brand new visor by qualified Arai service tech..

It didn't fog up as such but it did condense moisture on it to the extent it may as well have been opaque in the dark with oncoming headlamps. More like fog but with bigger droplets to starburst the light.

I can also pretty much garauntee you haven't ridden with one for any sustained period at a genuine -5 because if you had, you'd have noticed that you can't see through frost either on the inside of a visor OR on the inside of a pinlock.
