Long story short, Car pulled out, had to break and swerve. Lost the back end.

The driver tried to take off so I get up and see them change seats. Apparently the driver does not have a license or insurance. The women next to him says she was driving and I am a liar and stupid because I fell of my bike in front of her car. According to her I should have gone around their car. No witnesses, my word against hers becuase nobody stopped to help.

Called the police they didnt want to register it as an RTC because I did not collide with the car. In hindsight should have done that. But eventually they came around and gave a case number. They say they cant do much because its their word against my own and even though they switched drivers and all the bollocks that women was spouting there is no way to confirm this.

Was fine till the adrenaline wear off then had to go to the hospital to get checked out. Minor injuries, headache and numbness so I should be fine.

Now I have a messed up bike and they are refusing to take the blame that they pulled out in the middle of the road. How do I go sorting this stuff out.

Paint diagram will come so be patient.

There you go. The red arrow is the citroen picasso. the blue arrow me. They coming from their drive and I am on the two way road. I can swerve too much because then I will end up in the oncoming traffic.

So how bad is it

Nobody bothered to stop. So no witnesses. Even though there were loads of cars there when it happened.

Can I actually claim off her insurance since it is their word against mine. I am going to call my insurance and see what happens.

If you knew where they lived (assuming they're an item) you could stake the place out with a camera, record a few instances of the un-licenced geezer driving, pass the lot to the police... Then practice looking smug in the mirror while you await the court appearance.

They were coming from their drive? Then I suggest you be suitably thankful you know where the lying cunt lives, because if you can't extract due payment you can at least exact righteous payback.

But you won't, will you, because you're soft.

*sigh*. Neutral

Update the cops about your injuries so they are on their records if not already done so. An injury should change how they deal with it.

The more I read about this sort of thing the more I think a Roadhawk type video camera is becoming a wise thing to have, especially on a bike.

To be honest from the pictures, is it worth an insurance claim.

It looks fairly minor [no doubt extremely annoying] damage. You're probably more likely to end up paying more back on increased premiums and the like than you are just patching up the odd few bits that need repairing I would of thought.

Maybe worth giving a tip off about uninsured drivers at the address and the like Karma

No, I live in manchester.

I have contacted my insurance. They say they will process a claim. They referred me to some sultana solicitors.

So what do I do, not claim/repair the bike from my pocket and forget about the incident ?

Oh off course I wont do anything to them I am too soft for violence. Rolling Eyes

Always hit the car...

Go through insurance and police and if you get screwed over then you know where the car owner lives. Make their lies cost a lot more moneys than your bike would have cost them.

I hate people like that. I really would watch their house and get a picture of him driving the car. I'd use a polariser filter so the camera could see straight through the windscreen.

(I used to do P.I. work )

Yes in hindsight I should have but you never know how worse you are going to be after an accident. I was fine for an hour till everything started hurting.

I know its not a major repair. Gear selector, indicators, repair and repaint fairings. Scuffs on shoes and leathers.

So does claiming off the car driver's insurance effect my renewal qoutes as well ?

Because that basically leaves me in a screw you situation.

I'd speak to Rider Support Services, they're very effective and will push hard for a suitable outcome. Sounds like the other party has far more to lose than you in insurance premium increases with no damages to claim or injuries are happy to fob you off suggesting their pulling out on you was fine. The fact that there a re two of them is pretty immaterial as a passenger is never considered impartial.
It made no difference to my premium claiming against another party when he was at fault, it shouldn't to you either as they have no insured losses to claim against you. You shouldn't play down the damage to your bike as it should be repaired properly at their cost and obviously the injury needs compensation, your damaged gear needs replacing with new... The accident was caused by them and this is what insurance is paid for.

yeah the generator cover, which is impossible to find.

I tried to avoid a crash that is why there is no damage to their car (and it is three of them). If i dont brake and change my position I drive straight into them. I cant claim anything off my insurance anyway as it is thirdparty.
