Didn't really know where to post this; as I'm not really a 'new biker' although I feel like one at the minute!

I have had numerous bikes; CG125, CG500, TDM850, NSR125 and my latest an XJ400.

My XJ just broke, and it was basically a sh*t tip anyway so decided it would probably be better to pick up a tax'd tested bike than fix that.

We (me and my dad) Embarassed made an offer on a GPZ which got accepted, que excitement...
However now I'm panicking I'm not going to be able to ride it! Confused

I'm 5'3 on a good day, however could comfortably ride the TDM, I'm not to bothered about weight as its lighter than the TDM, aslong as I can get it off the side stand I'm happy.

Then theres the problem of reaching the bars; originally I didn't think this would be a problem, now I'm doubting myself...
I'm a rather lardy lass. Rolling Eyes

I know it's going to take getting used to as the only sports shape bike I have ridden is the NSR and a mates TZR 125, but aslong as 'logistically' I can do it!

Any advise welcome!

*Sits and awaits all the posts telling me I have no chance, and the fact I should have sat on it first*

You'll be fine,

I've got a ZZR 600 which is a bit more sports than the GPZ, it's quite a relaxed riding position.

I hope so!

I sat on a friends ZZR600 a while back and couldn't touch the floor... But if I remember rightly they're beastier!

Ah, only one way to find out I guess!

the zzr is bulkier than the GPZ, i dont know about seat height tho.

I found the ZZR quite a low seat height, but I'd been on a Varadero before.

I had one in the 80s, if it has the original or similar seat it's quite low.
I do remember it being quite a stretch to the bars and not very comfortable on long runs.

I thought the GPZ600 was one of that first rash of tiny middleweights that appeared in the mid 80s, the antidote to lumpy UJMs like the GS550.

Not quite as toy like as the VF500, but it's certainly not a huge thing.

If my similar age VFR750 is anything to go by, being of smaller stature will be an advantage.

If you could cope with the TDM, I'm sure you won't have a problem with the seat height.

For me, the limiting factors on the Honda are my longish legs feeling cramped and the stretch to the bars, caused by my beer belly; you won't have a problem with the first, so I guess it all depends on how much you have up front (as it were Shocked ) as to how the second is.
