Finally bloody did it!

Yes..after pootling around on a 125 since 2008, I finally got off my arse and did my full test...

Lasted 1 day on my 125 and bought myself a bigger bike.
Nothing too lairy though, a well used Kawasaki GT550 for the princely sum of £400. WHich is handy as £400 was all I had left in my bank account lol. It'll do until I can afford something newer...may be a while as I spent all my savings on deposit and furniture for new flat recently lol

That's why I decided to buy it. Didn't have a lot of cash, hated the thought of staying on my 125 for any longer now I had full licence and having read up on the bike they looked like reliable workhorses and a decent first bigger bike.
Ideal for me then!

Took my girlfriend to work on the back of my marauder earlier...for a clapped out old 125 it handled it pretty well, and was the first time I've ever taken anyone pillion too...was a little nervous LOL. Luckily she's been pillion before as her dad was always a biker so that helped!

The GT will handle a passenger much better, but watch out for the speed cameras, especially in town; it's not the fastest bike on the planet, but it will hit 40-50 very easily, compared to your 125.
