Hi guys,

Just a quickie if you don't mind (then a simple question too Smile)

Got myself a CBF600 (2008 plate) and I have notices that when it is in neutral with the clutch out, it has a slight rattle/chattering noise.

When I pull in the lever, it goes quiet and when in gear and about to pull off, there is just the normal engine/transmission noise.

Took it into the garage only to be told that this chattering is a normal for a multi plate clutch such as installed in bikes (only had single plates in cars before).

Is this right?
Do bike clutches have a little chatter and rattle when totally off-load?

If so, fine, just something new to me that all.

Cheers

Mike

Normal, the clutch on my fireblade makes a lovely noise Laughing . I know it is fine as I have taken it apart (and am doing so today to split the engine) and it is in great condition.

Heh, why not.

Viffer does this too, sounds like a bag of spanners in neutral till you pull the clutch. Well, it does to me anyway you know how sensitive you get over every creak and clunk when it's your every day ride.
