The 5 Shits:

1. Stator blew - £200
2. Left disc lock on, tried to ride off and warped the discs - £160
3. Broke the alarm - £20
4. Need new pads - £100
5. Need new tyres - £200

Time to get a more sensible bike for commuting? - Yep
Am I going to? - Nope

Plan:

Breakfast: Protein shake, home made coffee
Lunch: £3
Dinner: Omelette

And just enjoy learning how to fix all of the above myself

Total friggin LOLs

Not fast at all, but it was right at the top and the disc lock was the oxford boss one which is thick as hell.

Done it a few times now so think its just progressively got worse lol

If I did this even once, I wouldn't lol. Maybe you need an alarmed lock to give you a heads up?

I've done the same with the discs, it's a right twat. Warped two sets of discs on two different bikes. Oh and smashed my mudguard Thumbs Up .

I no longer use a lock, I just block it in the drive with the car now.

disc lock it on the rear. The discs are a hell of a lot cheaper. Plus every time I've ridden off with it on, it's never warped. And no fairing to break either.

Sod it, I'll sort that lot for the price of a case of beer. Decent beer, mind; none of this lager pish.

I'm in East London, if you're genuinely considering it.

Are your pads made of gold? My XBK5s weren't the cheapest but they were only £50. Brembos aren't much more.

Sorry, not one to pay for such things!

Razz

However, I was thinking £25 per side for front pads and £20 for rear.
Maybe even up to £30 per side for front if you went somewhere a bit expensive.
