hi, im no expert mate but i would probably say around 1400-1600 depending on condition, my brother payed 1700 for an m reg zxr 400 33000miles with nice bits like anodised stuff new exhaust tyres screen etc cant remember if its an import or uk model.

Try biketrader and ebay to see what they are going for, your bike looks good but i would say a bad point is its an import and insurance dont like imports.

If you have any receipts of filters oil changes etc then that always helps to prove you have looked after it.

Good luck with the sale. Thumbs Up

Yeah, I'd put a mark of at least 1500 on it.

I think you would most probably get £1400-£1500 for it, but maybe not at this time of year. ZXR400's can be got really cheap, most are tatty due to age and it being a common bike for people who've just passed their test, yours however looks to be in excellent condition.

In summer you might get a bit more, but it's a 1992 jap import so I'd doubt you'd get too much more than £1500.

I sold my 93' UK ZXR for £1300 with running problems (absolutely mint otherwise though) and he then managed to sell it for £2000 so there is hope that you'd get more than £1500 for it, but definetly not at this time of year. Mine was sold at the start of summer and was completely mint/low mileage.

Good luck selling.

It's always best to sell in summer time, however if someone really wants the bike then they'll pay for it summer, winter or anywhere in between... just got to be lucky I guess... but yeah you're more likely to get asking price in summer than you are at the moment.

yeh it was bod's bike

the story goes like this....

buying a bike is always been my brothers dream i just passed spur of the moment never thought i would as i only had 2 lessons and went for it

after i passed i got bod's bike and its amazing

soon after brother passed and got an r6

i just wanted to know how much i could get for my zxr400 just to see if i could afford insurance on the r6

turns out i cant get insured cheap, the plan now is to keep the zxr400 for a year and sell in summer

now looking over my plan it was extremely stupid as i wouldnt be able to handle the power of a 600. The zxr400 is enough power for me (i can still beat scoobys and lancers of the lights who needs more). Thumbs Up

passing my test was not all that important to me truthfully and thats why i went for it so quickly. but after having a bike for a while i wish i had took my test sooner
