Does anybody have any good tips when it comes to selling a bike? It could be anything from where you're selling it from, what you say to sell it, should you do anything to the bike etc.
It would be intresting to know, as I seem to inept at selling mine, and it would make for intresting reading - the delboys who have sold bikes on here before will have their sales technique revealed.
Cheers! ____________________ What's ya name? What av' ya taken? Chase the lasers, safe as f*ck! |

Clean bikes sell better than dirty ones or half clean ones.
When someone comes to view it try and give the best possible impression you can, move the heap of broken parts from your garage so they don't see them.
Have all the paperwork already found and sorted, so that if they ask to see the old MOT's they can without you spending 20 minutes finding them.
Know before hand what the very minimum price you'd be willing to accept is and don't go a penny lower, even when the wave a wad of cash under your nose.
Find out where they are travelling from as if they have travelled from the other end of the country then they're very unlikely to go home empty handed so it can be to your advantage when haggling.
Have a read of this thread for general stuff when selling your bike. |
