Hi,

Got in to a bidding war and may have bought some expensive DT 125 X supermoto wheels! Embarassed I currently have a 99 Dt 125 r

Anyway...I need your guys help to get me on the road! Praying

Things to do and need your help with: (I have done a lot of research myself)

1) The Standard Dt 125 r Calliper won't fit the X disc, I've found a template for a bracket but can't find a company to cut it for less then £80. For that price I could just buy different forks...But I don't know for sure which of these are going to work with no metal work: TZR, TDR, DTR X.

2) So far the only matching tyres I've found are for commuting, if anyone could recommend a pair of very sticky road tyres that'd really help. Size is 120/70/17 and 140/70/17 stock, others may fit?
Also I'm not sure if I can mix a pirelli diablo with a Avon road rider etc?

3) Have I missed anything important? Laughing

Thanks in advance! Karma

I tend to turn 5 min jobs in to days of repairs. I'd have to buy drill bits, angle grinder pads and the steel plate to make it, it'd also look like complete shit.

i'm not retarded, just seem to cock everything up mainly in the cosmetic and safety department...oh and accuracy.

Also SQL what bike are they from? I still have a pretty limited understanding about modifying suspension.

Derbi GPR 50, they are sebac forks not bad condition.I have bottom yoke but top yoke is about £15 on ebay

You could then fit GS500 wheels to "Sumo" it

Would also swap for a DT125 clutch cage

Already bought wheels though Question

Thanks for the offer SQL but i think it's just gonna make things more difficult.

on the note of forks, would thicker fork oil alone be enough or am i going to need to preload them...how does preloading forks compare agianst just putting really thick oil in?

thanks
