remind me never to buy a jeep or Suzuki SJ as I really don't want to get into all that addictive shit lol!

I'm gutted you sold the slammed Renaultsport van for a Tranny!
That van was about the closest I've seen a Kangoo look like a BTTC car! Laughing

I have the Kangoo back. Wink

Plans are to bring the rear torsion up 30mm, change the front springs from 80mm springs, to 50mm springs.
And then fit some sensible size tyres on it (195/45).

Roof racks are coming off, being modified, and fitted to the Feroza.
Fog lights are coming off the roof, and being mounted on a light bar across the top of the window of the Feroza.

Then the Kangoo is becoming my every day driver again, Transit is being sold, and the Feroza is going to be a toy.

Now that's a plan! Thumbs Up
Just remember what to do if someone throws an F7R engine with a tasty set of throttlebodies at you!

Already on the wish list. By the looks of things, I will have to fab my own, as they dont do an off-the-shelf one for my truck I don't think.

Might be easier to get a winch bumper fro something else and then you'd just have to fabricate the mounting brackets rather than the whole thing.

This Jimny bumper is pretty cool. Smile

Erm...

For sale?

£0.99

Buyer MUST collect. Laughing

Had a bit of a situation yesterday while green laning. Stopped with my mate in his Vitara, to turn around as the byway got a little narrow.
He 3 pointed it, and went back, I 3 point turn in the same spot, but being a longer truck, the N/S/R wheel slipped off the edge of the track, and see-saw'd for a while. Mates in the Vitara grabbed the front end, but couldnt hold it, My truck completed a full 360 roll down the bank, Smashed all but 1 window, but still starts and drives.

Cant see it coming out of the ditch to be honest, But will be going down there tonight with a bigger truck, equipped with two big winches..

Hmmm.

That'll winch out if it can't be driven out. Razz

And if you had a winch bumper then the byway getting narrower wouldn't have been a problem. Razz

Still not got back to the truck yet. A guy I know with a Defender 110 is going to come down with me tomorrow and get it out.

Equiptment requred will be:

Chain Saw
Chain Blocks
His UNIT of a Defender 110 with twin winches
Some man power
A crate of beer for the Farmer to have access to the corner of his field.

Had more important things to deal with atm, like my passenger who broke her collar bone in the roll. Sad

Mate Dave took me down last night in his Frontera. Feroza is still down there, not been touched or messed with.

Started up straight away, all PAS and 4WD still works. About 100 litres of water in the footwells and boot, but it'll all come out.

A mate of mine called Ian has offered to pull it out today. He's got a V8 RangeRover on a 76 plate (I think). It's literally a creature of a truck. Winch and Snap Blocks mean it will lift my little Feroza up any incline.

Arranged for a flat bed trailer to take down on the back of my Kangoo. Gonna get this little whip home. Razz

My 2" 'Body Lift' Kit arrived today. Once the windows have all been replaced, and I've checked the structure of the thing over, I will be fitting a roll bar over the front seats, some 40mm hubcentric wheel spacers, and some 31" Mud tyres. Widen that track as much as possible to reduce changes of another roll.

Got Bucket seats and Harnesses lined up too. As much as I wanted some cheap fun, our lives are worth more than that!

Will make sure I film the whole thing tonight.

After a grueling 2 hour operation in the dark on Wedneday night, Ian's Rangey pulled the Sportrak out of the pond.

I had to green lane the thing about a mile back to the Van, as it was a heavy byway the van would never have gotten up.

Initially borrowed a 4 wheel car transport trailer, but the guy who was lending me it didnt have the hitch lock key returned from the previous person who had borrowed it. Rolling Eyes

Ended up using an A-frame, which worked well none-the-less.

Had a good look over the truck yesterday, and decided to stick it in the frag at work.
The whole body is twisted, and by the time I've fucked around fixing it, I'd sooner sell all the bits I can from it, and just by a better truck.

It was a good entery level motor though, I've got my money back on what I paid for it already, and still have 10 wheels with tyres to sell.

Got a set of snow tyres for the Polo, so wont have a problem being mobile this winter.

Looked into replacing the body, but it's just so much agro with the brakes, steering etc. Such an old truck, NOTHING will be easy to remove and replace. I'd un-earth all the worn bushes and split seals etc. It'd just become a money pit.

Another off road adventure wagon will suck you in even worse and get expensive, so if your scrapping the old truck or selling it as bits, I'd use the cash to put a beast of an engine into your Renaultsport van instead! Wink
