Do it. You'll get valuable instruction in the worst conditions, surely that will set you up better for a lifetime of riding than only having experience in good weather. Safest way to learn to ride really. I remember doing my car lessons in ice once, instructor taught me all about getting out of a skid, was great fun ____________________ What would you do in life, if you knew you could not fail?
Currently own - Fazer 600, 2000, Red. (But no riding as baby on board atm) |

£38 an hour? For that, I'd want 1:1 tuition and for the instructor to swallow instead of spit. Who's that with? Ride-On, Bike-Rite? Is that a "guaranteed pass" course?
The weather doesn't get better until April and even that's not reliable. Go for it ASAP, but I think you can do better on the cost. Bear in mind you'll be doing it all over again in 2 years. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I won't trash talk Route 66, but I'd suggest that you give Bike-Rite in Rutherglen a call as well and see what they can offer you for that money. I've give Harleys in EK a miss though. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

£70 per lesson
I pay £30 including bike hire (1:1 too) and that's pay as you go. Seriously, shop around or consider other options. |

To be clear, I'm not recommending Bike-Rite over Route 66, just suggesting that you consider them both. There's also Bike-It over in Paisley who do (or did) capped price "guaranteed pass" courses. That's likely too far for you, but it's useful to know the local market.
Enjoy it, you do get extra Man Points for passing in winter. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

6 years ago I paid 400 for a restricted test, and 100 quid for a days instruction plus retest.
I feel sorry for you lot. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

10 years ago... 2 x £48 for failed tests and 1 x £48 for the successful test attempt. Lessons are unnecessary. |
