Ok guys, in a bit of a pickle at the moment.
I recently bought a CRM250AR as a jungle riding toy.
The previous owner ripped out the RCvalve Servo and ghetto'd the rcvalve to run in sync with the throttle, it works and rides ok, but it's not ideal, especially at high rpm.
Anyway, parts seem non existent, so picking up another servo was a no-go, however. I do have an NSR150 servo here and it seems to be identical to the CRM's, plugs in with no required changes. The NSR150 shares the engine with the CR125, for which I -presume- has similarities with the CRM250.
Anyway, plugged it in, started the bike, no movement at any rev range.
I've read all over the place that the ECU is commonly fried due to rcvalve problems, I'm guessing this is what happened, hence no servo on the bike.
As parts are crazy hard to come by, and I'm in Thailand making it that much more difficult, can I rig an NSR loom to fire up and run the CRM? Not looking for any electronics beyond the essentials to run the engine, no lights etc.
Including the CDI. Can it be done?
Thanks for reading |
