Very new to this but we made our first Chocolate cana bar.

I don't smoke weed really, I think it doesn't look good nor does it taste nice. Any way I said I'd happily experiment and make some brownies etc

We went with:

Mix some butter with some very ground up weed (pretty much dust) and left to simmer.

Then we got a bowl of galaxy chocolate and put that bowl on top of a pan of hot water and left to hear until choc had melted. We then mixed the butter weed with the chocolate and allowed to simmer for around 5 minutes (this is where I think we went wrong, more time needed????)

Poured into moulds and allowed to cool.

Yeah was kinda nice, felt quite good too, weren't THAT strong however...

So any tips? Your recipes or anything related... Thumbs Up

Like I said I'm not a massive stoner, just interested in trying new things Wink

you can pretty much use anything dairy related
I like crackers with cheese and some kif from my stash box (sprinkle like pepper)

don't grind the weed right down to powder just roughly chop it up then strain out the plant material out of the butter
it will taste a lot better

the canna forum I run has a cooking with cannabis forum with lots of info

https://www.icmag.com/ic/forumdisplay.php?f=44

canna butter the easy way

Obviously it wouldn't be as strong, but I have a fair amount of left over twigs, dust and general plant that is a bit too much effort to smoke. Will this still work? (when I say too much effort, I normally empty my lap into a box after rolling and when I have no bud, I do use it)

The receipe looks very easy indeed and I can't wait to give it a go.

I reckon it would. Just blend it up first to get a big surface area then use an molten butter to get the goodies in the butter. Pretty much you're just concentrating the fun stuff from a low-concentration big-volume (the plant) to a high(er)-concentration small(er) volume (the butter).

Ground up weed is not so great, you'll get much better results using bubble hash.

uk420.com is better than icmag. Wink

Hash coffee was always a favourite when I used to smoke.

Are we talking plant matter or the solid stuff (which I know is still plant just another form)?

We used to use about an eighth for 4 people. Melt the hash in a pan with butter, crumbled in like an oxo. Add the milk, cup-ish per person. Boil slowly and make coffee up as you would milky coffee.

No doubt you could do the same with drinking chocolate.

The trick is not using too much butter so that you don't get a thick floaty greasy ring at the top of the cup, bleurggh!

I tried that. I had an ounce of twigs/cuttings/etc and made it into cannabutter. As well as tasting utterly disgusting - it had next to no effect. Crying or Very sad

I have no issue with uk420.com, I've been a member for many years
and I am friendly with their Admin
we have very similar goals but we(ICmag) cater for worldwide members UK420 UK is more regional based than us

I actively encourage them as any site that promotes our cause is good in my books
same way there is loads of bike forums some are more specific to a model or make
sometimes a general forum reaches a wider audience and can achieve more due to numbers viewing the site
I've actually did tutorials for UK420 a few years back they still use that I never posted on my site as it was more appropriate to the UK scene Thumbs Up

forget stem's and other by-products from the grow
only the bud and trim leaf have nay real property's

bubblehash is by far the best method of refining the weed down to hash
unless you have access to lab equipment
next to that canna butter is your best easy option that you don't need specialised equipment to get the product that you want
personally I use a combination of bubble bags and Mila's pollinator system then dry sift to refine the final quality

you could try "Budka"

THC is soluble in Alcohol, place a couple of buds in an airtight glass jar (Mason jar is ideal) pour in Vodka and leave for a few weeks - months then filter through a coffee filter

And LSD (arguably something like 2C-E is even easier!) is even easier but that's not the point. Razz
