I know you can get them on ebay but any DIY ideas? For the Ducati ones some pliers worked easily but the new ones that came with the exhaust are so damn tight! ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

String! Loop a bit over each end of the spring, tie it in a loop then tie it into a looseish loop. Put a screwdriver inside and twist until it compresses the spring fully.
You should be easily able to get it over if it's big enough. If not, file the ends off the hooks. ____________________ current: ducati monster 750

Last time I tried a coat hanger it either bent or broke, a ring end of a spanner worked until I realised I could'nt take the spanner out ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

Only cost a few quid and has saved lots of skin and adding to the swear box ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?
