Well after waiting a few days I finally went to pick up my wheels from the powder coaters I had used. I only dropped them off on Friday, so the turn around time was pretty good.

As you can see I put funky black rim tape on as soon as I got home. Smile

The bearings and tyres etc. Will go on tomorrow then they shall be back at home on the bike. Thumbs Up

They cost me £100 in total. So a tiny bit less than you've been quoted once you've added on the VAT to your price.

The rim tape I used was in 10 curved strips rather than a 'role' and it actually seemed a hell of a lot easier to pull this type off compared to the 'role' when I wanted to slightly alter it's position, it also left nothing on the rim, so hopefully no sticky shit will be left if I ever come to remove it.

Place near me does wheels at £35 a piece or £60 a pair, cash.

Had a ZX6R wheel done for my ZX10R forks but its stashed away for now in my garage roof.

your wheels look nice with that tape, but are they orange or gold?

They are a darkish shade of yellow, they look darker in bright light.
