Thought I'd show off my new bike; thanks to the guys here that helped me out with the seat height and stuff.

We picked her up on Saturday from Salisbury on the bike trailer, got this side of the M40 and decided I was bored so we unloaded and rode the rest of the way home.

So, do we assume a GPZ600 is suitable for a slightly lardy midget? Laughing

Looks nice, hope you enjoy it Thumbs Up

I'm enjoying it so far, had two people come up to me to talk about it already!

Them both being a lot older, I guess it was a bike from when they were my age!

Its going to the garage next week as has a slightly rattly clutch!

I agree, unless it isn't functioning correctly or sounds like it's going to burst through the casing any minute, I would leave well alone, especially if you're having to pay someone to do it.

So you're a lardy midget, as well as a beardy ginger, with a fetish for Sci Fi and traffic laws.

How did you ever manage to get married?

Its riding fine, but the noise doesn't stop when the clutch is pulled it, and its horrible banging rattle.

Took it to the guy who owns a garage to talk about balancing the carbs (previous owner said they may need doing) mechanic said the carbs seem 99% balanced, maybe ever so slightly off but the clutch does not sound healthy.

The gears and everything were smoother than my XJ!

I have a horrible habit of running every bike I own into the ground (okay, I'll grab my coat now!) so I'm trying to keep this one tip top, hence the getting the mechanic to have a look.... plus bank of daddy is paying! Laughing

And the GPZ is perfectly fine for a lardy short ass to the person who was interested! I'm 5'2 and large and I can fit fine!! Thumbs Up

If you're going to run old bikes, you need to get handy with some spanners, or mix with more bikers, could save you (daddy) a fortune in repairs.

Fair enough, that does sound it needs a spanner waved at it.

10 years ago they were saying that the Kawasaki Ninja 600R would be a classic of the future. Well, the future has arrived and it still hasn't happened! It's kind of a shame if you ask me because I think it's a much overlooked bike, but on the plus side you can still buy them fairly cheap.

Normally I'm not much of a fan of black, but the black & gold cigarette-carton look looks rather fetching on the GPZ, in fact I think I prefer it to the red.

My dad suggested a clutch basket chatter, the engine oil isn't very old as the previous owner has just serviced it.

Will look at the iddle speed.
