I bought an item, only £3.99 and free postage (a bandana). It was a POS. Child size ("one size fits all"...yeah, if you're a child), poorly made and the material (cotton) was so thin and flimsy I could see through it.

So I initiated a return via eBay. Got the "print address label" page, did that, then posted the item back to JMC Trading (last week). I put the original invoice back in the packet so they could see who it was from.

Heard nothing by today so I emailed them. Got a reply "checked eBay, it doesn't show as dispatched". Told them I'd already dispatched it, with invoice by 1st-class post but would check the eBay bollocks anyway.

There's no way to mark a returned item as dispatched. I even uploaded a 'tracking number' (used the PO receipt number) but it still didn't link or put me onto anything where I could mark the item as 'dispatched'.

I've spent over an hour trying to find a way to do it, contact eBay, open a case. Nothing but loop-backs or FAQs that give zero info on the problem. Can't even email eBay, you can only phone them (premium rate of course). Lots of pages come up with "technical error, please try later".

There's no way this isn't deliberately done by eBay. A scumbag criminal company, obviously.

I've yet to hear back from JMC Trading but my feedback nuke is ready to go. I suspect they're going to go with the "your item doesn't show as dispatched" to justify refusing to refund me. Pennies but principle.

You realise that even outside of ebay, the paypal protection always sides with the buyer? So many threads here on bikechat with people being ripped off with chancer buyers. A right arseache for genuine sellers getting scammed, but this time you are on the right side.

Just do a paypal chargeback, its so open to abuse that if you wanted you could claim to have never received the item (even if you did) and still get your money back.

I'd have thought your case/emails and training number were more than enough to sort this.

No there isnt a return dispatched button... mayeb there should be as a further belt in braces.... it doesnt proove anything though.

I'm still waiting to hear back from JMC Trading. My suspicion is they rely on the item costing so little the vast majority of people who bought the POS product just shrug and write it off. And anyone who does bother they just ignore.

I'll give them until tomorrow to respond, then I'll post feedback and report them to their local trading standards with copies of everything, including a scan of the PO receipt. And try the paypal thing too.

Oh boy, these filth really do have it all sown up, don't they. I tried to open a case in paypal, it tells me the case is already open in eBay and to go via their system to resolve it. Brick Wall

1. Should have gone straight to Paypal.

2. Don't use ebay if you dislike the system so much.

Any more issues you need resolving? These are quite easy.

Spot on. I've had this issue both with Amazon and E-bay. I bought an iPhone charger which was about £4, but the title said 100% genuine Apple product, so I bought it regardless of the fact that it was far cheaper - thought it may have come from bankrupt stock etc etc. Received item, didn't even fit in the phone properly, didn't charge. Tried to report it to Amazon (Trade seller fulfilled by Amazon), no response. Couldn't be arsed taking it to Post office, being late for work etc etc. I know I have just contributed to the problem by not returning it, but you are right, these thieves pray on the lazy.

Sleeping Sleeping

Pay peanuts on eBay and of course it's going to be a piece of shit being sold by a crap company!!

Speak with eBay on their live chat help system, I've found them helpful.

You want to open a dispute here: https://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk but you might have needed to do that before returning the item.

Oh, of course? I bought two others. One was 99p. Guess what...the 99p one is ten times better and perfectly useable. The £2.50 one is as good as one could be.

I've left them negative feedback. It's very satisfying to know that actually causes them increased fees (had two sellers begging me to remove neg feedback because of that reason, one claiming it could cost them "hundreds of dollars in increased fees").

The world is full of filth like the snide whore (Jill) running JMC and it's next to impossible not to occasionally step in their shit. Vicious little parasites, penny-pinching their living from their own. Puke

It's hilarious that eBay says "Be honest in your feedback" then when you check negative or neutral suddenly it's all "Oh, wait, are you sure? That's a bit honest for us. You reaaaaally need to try and resolve this with the seller. And hang on, a power seller? No, no, no you can't neg them for another week, you silly prole. Tut Tut"

I've had this before, ended up giving up.

You could write the cost off and give it as a present to any under age children you may know Mr. Green

In an ideal world I would be allowed to take every single CEO of eBay out into a field, soak them in gasoline and toss a match on them. And I'd do it too. Seriously. And lose not a second of sleep over it. Sub-human sociopathic vermin.

FFS - back to 9 points for going just a few MPH over 50 and BOOM...

I'm outraged, there are so many blind drives on the road and slow one far more dangerous.

Not sure about that. Pol Pot did rather well for himself, all things considered.

I don't have anyone who'd want to. Not for any legitimate reason anyway. Laughing

Plenty of fucktards though. Probably. Good luck with that.

Uh oh, one of the resident fucktards has decided to display his fucktardedness again. Laughing

I have been advised via PMs that bitch-slapping you is beneath me. And I tend to agree, though it is so much fun I find it hard to resist. But I've decided to put the temptation beyond me, just like I've already done with Pits. I'm going to set you as 'Enemy'.

Have fun yapping to yourself from now on. Darling. Laughing
