I guess the Tuono must have them worried.

A comparison of the 2 would be good.

It does look good but to me it's not use able all that power and max 90mph if you have good neck muscles. Or am I missing the point.

Yea; I've had 140+ fine on naked bikes Smile.

Interesting to see how much of the engine they leave.
Nice to see high-spec looking suspension and brakes.

Sounds like you need a better helmet. I've had helmets that do that and it's been because they're not that great.

My helmet does this too, especially when doing lifesavers on motorway. Need to get a better one!

That looks really nice, I'd probably be happy with that over a sports bike.

I've had speedo indicating 145mph on a naked bike and it was okay.

I would have one if

a) The motor was gauranteed not to eat itself*

and

b) they provided a bikini fairing for it.

*Or if they at least covered the cost of fixing it, out of warranty or not. 5000 miles out of warranty, fuck off you cheating nazi scum.

You have had problems with BMW engines in the past?

No, not me. But there have been a number of cases of the S1000R motor eating itself and one of the guys on here had it happen on a low-mileage motor that was out of warranty and BMW said "tough" and he had to buy a new motor out of his own pocket.

I don't think its that big an issue once you adjust to the added wind blast you get with a 'naked' or cowled bike. It was a shock riding the ZRX with a tiny cockpit fairing being used to the generous half fairing and screen of my Diversion, but once you adjust to it sitting upright at around 110-120 for longer periods up a motorway isn't much of a problem. If anything the lack of a significant fairing makes things seem all the more quicker and involving - not a bad thing for a bike in my view. The added entertainment value is in tucking in and hanging on with the wind blast fighting you! I think you get a more raw experience of riding on an unfaired bike.

Doesn't sound good. You'd think a firm like BMW would be interested in finding out the problems with their engines given they're supposedly all about German efficiency and reliability assumedly?

Why would they bother? BMW Motorrad are selling loads of bikes despite their quality and support issues. Optimistic idiots will keep buying them. Whistle
