So that's it for the cbr600f and Hornet?

honda have a new 650....... CBR650F and CB650F

Look like they are cheapening it up a bit . no USD front forks, loss of front end adjustment.

They have lowered the power so that it can sneak into the restricted zone for A2 riders.

Sellouts!

Then again, I guess you could get blades or CB1000R still. Or the new VFR800.

What a disappointment. It's also a brand new motor, hence will be little power to liberate by fitting parts from other models. Sad

Can't find an official announcement that they've binned the 600F or Hornet, but I agree with these two bikes coming there doesn't seem to be a home for them.

Not feeling the love with those pipes but the naked looks ok other than that.

The CBR looks like the GSXF Suzuki have been making for a good few years. The faired Blandit.

It is a shame really, I always thought their 600 rang was the flagship sports tourer, best middle ground bike you could get.

Now, they will not do a decent mid sized V twin, so a Varadero 400 for example, even if they did a 500 V twin, I'd buy it.
They will not do a high revving low cc 4 cylinder sports.

They will however ruin their current range and turn me right off Honda Sad

I agree, I was genuinely going to get a CBR 600F but now I have started looking at the suzuki GSXR 600R. Looks much nicer anyway Smile

I actually like the looks of both of those. Nice swing arm, pipes, paint, wheels and dash. Good looking bikes.

Shame they had to replace what was already a good engine from the Hornet/CBR6F. Also what is with the cheap looking suspension and brakes?

I do hope there is a sports version of both these. Increase the old engine by 50cc and unleash a few more ponies/torque in the mid range. Throw on some radial brakes and the suspension from the CBR600RR. That would tick a few boxes.

Hmm. That's a shame. My 2003 Hornet 600 was fantastic, lasted me well for 4 years of service.
