It's snapped in two places so I think it's about time for a change, can anyone advise me on what to get? That would be fantastic, it's an 05 model Smile

Thank you!

As much as I dislike the fact they didn't take my Varadero for a custom exhaust to be designed, Motad do the "Venom" which is pretty decent, sounds nice too.

Erm, well... not something I'd entertain, do you have an aftermarket end can?

Go for a Danmoto system off eBay, £140 all in or thereabouts and the quality is fantastic for the price.

If you buy Danmoto, factor in the customs and handling fees. Roughly £30.

Buy a new bike. I've replaced the exhaust on one of these before and was nearly reduced to tears on several occasions.

However, I managed to get myself a stainless replacement from eBay for around £120. Seemed logical since Honda wanted £200 for a piece of mild steel in the same shape.

ALSO I could sell you an underseat exhaust, but it will need steel wool sticking down it a muffler, as mine failed an MOT on noise because of it. Made the bike run much better though :/

If somebody reminds me, I'll get pictures at the weekend. It's at my parent's house. It's an underseat downpipe, then comes out to the right and bolts on to the hole for the rear footpeg.

I reckon you've just wasted £100.

WTF is that restrictor in the end.
A full Danmoto system is the same price and stainless.

I do worry when you give people options and they run to something else... Laughing

That's basically what I bought had when I snapped mine. Except I paid £120 and had a garage get the collar that had seized itself in the head out.

I warn you, if you do it yourself, you may need some brute force to get the collar out of the head.
And whatever you do; dont let swarf get in your valve seats by falling back down in the exhaust valve port. Trust me... I know.

This is what was left of my original downpipe after I finally persuaded it into fresh air...

A full danmoto system will take upwards of a week to get here, and RockandGrohl needs his bike sorted so he can travel the daily commute of 28 miles on his personal method of transportation rather than a peasant tube.

I've never seen an underseat pipe on a cbr125. Would love to see the picture.

There are bolts on the exhaust though, where it attaches to the downpipe...
