Not just you, I often also say "good boy" at the end of a nice ride with a pat on the petrol tank.

quite often, ranging from 'come on ya piece of shit, start' to 'thank you for not killing me'

I also have a habit of quoting the blues brothers when lining up for a particularly heroic overtake 'our blessed lady of acceleration, dont fail me now'

I often talk to inanimate objects, its the only way i can get a decent conversation sometimes.

Cheers
John

I might have called my car 'mate' once and said don't worry about the coolant leak all over your exhaust manifold, I've ordered you a full set of Samco's. Thumbs Up

But I'd never admit it! Laughing

'We are go for main engine start'

or

'switch over, lets hope we don't have a burn out'

I always wanted to go into space you see! Very Happy

Of course. Though you have to converse in their native language if you want them to understand what you're saying.

Embarassed after first saying no I caught myself apologizing to the bike leaving it outside as it's getting wet.

That's just silly.

You say "Helllo" to horses - cows you shout "MOOOOO!!!" at.

Is a cow or horse choosy on which way you would nod?

Certainly. Cows prefer a friendly wink/nod combo, horses favour a celeb-style salute with discretionary nod as an afterthought if the month ends with a Y. I thought everyone knew this.

Fascinating. Didn't know that.

People really need to pay a little respect to their bikes. Machines have feelings too. I'm not gonna suggest your bike with turn into a deceptercon and start killing people cos you pissed it off, but on a more realistic basis how many of you have seen the film 'christene' about that killer car? That's real. I'm sure the film is based on real story. And that's why you need to keep on your bikes good books.

I hugged my bike and said thank you to it once, when I lost the front tyre on a drain cover on a really dangerous bend (sheer drop into the Irish sea on one side and a cliff face on the other), fook knows how but it found grip and righted itself without throwing me off. I had to pull over and have a smoke afterwards. I think I possibly kissed it too and if I didn't, I should have. It was the closest I've come to thinking I was a gonner.

I love my bike Wub
