Have just invested in a new bike a 2003 dtr 125 with the operated powervalve.one of the powervalve end caps is missing the one on right hand side and a little bit of oil seeps out bike seems to run ok but not as quick as it should and the idles not great.qill this missing cover effect general running of the bike and the power.am I best not riding it until I have this cover.thanks in advanced

Power valve seal?

I would clean the jets and go from there with regards to power.

Also compare this to check tensioning the cables, some valves are also fitted upside down stock.

Thanks for info but its not just the seal thats missing but the actual cover that bolts onto the cylinder on right hand side not the side where the cables and motor are.do u think it will do damage using it like this.also the previous owner is a friendand assures me it had loads of power before the cap came away when he was riding it
