Yes, you guessed.
Patch of ice+NSR+Icy road = ;
Front wheel went sideways, front of bike smashed down into the road. Bike skidded into the kerb, I slid down the road on my arse, and I REMEMBER being thoroughly bewildered and thinking "oh ffs, not again! Evil or Very Mad "

Damage?

Chamfered brake lever, front right nose panel is smashed in two places and has road rash, front right lower panel is smashed and and has road rash rear right panel has bad road rash, and I've broken off f*ck knows how many mounting points GAH! I'm fucking pissed off!

This, after I spent 340 quid on the fucking bike on saturday!!!

Know what you mean... Neutral

Biatch about your bike mate Crying or Very sad ... At least your ok, that’s the main thing.

Went out last night 1am, ooooo cak, not good. Bikes and ice don’t mix well. I'm going to try my hardest to avoid making "that journey" if I can this Winter.

First take off all the damaged plastics and throw them in the bin.

Then:

Renthal drag bars £20
Risers £35 ish
Mini nose fairing with integral lights £35

Well I've had a look.
The rear panel can be sanded and resprayed, I'm doing this as we speak Smile.
I have a replacement indicator, and none of the internal panels were damaged (heavily - one split but it'll fix).

The top nose cone panel however is a total write off. It'll need replacing.

Well. I've got the bits off. Now i'm getting a f*cking alcoholic drink!

PS: Cheers for the support lads Thumbs Up

unlucky mate. Keeping my baby locked away untill the roads get in better condition.

It's always after you spend a lot on your bike that you go and have the accidents.

Anyway, thought you were limited to 7k rpm naughty boy Razz

Always a real drag when that happens.
Standard reply but at least it was just the bike that was damaged.

Bad luck dude. Confused Hopefully it won't be too painful on the old wallet to fix up.

It's supposed to be a bit warmer over the next few days so hopefully no more ice (down here at least) for a little bit. Definitely weather worth avoiding. Shocked

It will be a real nice bike Smile.
I'm fixing what can be fixed, replacing what can't...
...Rear panels have gone back on, brake light actuator is jammed in the "on" position, but I'll sort this lot tomorrow Smile.

I might have had a shit day, bike-wise, but at least me and the bike are part way towards recovering from it Smile.
