Second hand wheels, what to check?

Got a set of alloys for my ZZR that came as spares, thinking I might clean them up and get them powdercoated to replace the ones already on there and slowly start doing up the bike, selling the ones that are currently fitted to free up funds for doing the rest of the bike up.

So, what do I need to be checking / looking for to ensure they're fine?
