Well, the day for my road test has finally arrived and for some reason, my bottle has gone....totally. Shocked

I don't know why as it's really out of character. I should have been more nervous when I took my theory test, as I wasn't feelng confident about the hazard perception part at all but, I felt fine, nerves wise, prior to that test and passed first time.

The practical test, I haven't been too bothered about, as I've been riding and learning for almost two years and have been told my riding is fine but for some reason my bottle's totally gone, as of this morning. I've even been throwing up Sick

My test is at 13:15 and I have a pre-test lesson with my instructor an hour beforehand, which I hope will settle my nerves. Praying

Seriously, I have never been this nervous about anything and I don't know where this has come from. Sad

I know I need to MTFU but I'm having problems controlling this.

Just about to set off. I'll post how I got on.

Just need to get in the right mindset, just look at it as a normal ride with a guy in your ear telling you where to go, that is all it is. A little bit of nerves is not a bad thing either, keeps you focused.

Your ass has gone? And you're still thinking about doing your test? How will you be able to sit on a bike (or anything else for that matter) without one? If I were you I'd get straight on the phone to an ambulance or something.

Massive sarcasm aside - just turn up and do what you do. If you fail, it's only more time to learn more.

What's the worst that can happen? You fail. Will it affect your life in any way? Will a family member be in danger if you fail? Will you lose your house?

No, of course not.. it's not the end of the world if you don't pass, you can always rebook so why worry about it?

Of course you hope you will pass and I'm sure you'll be fine but the point I'm trying to make is, it's not something you should be worried about.

So go out there and get it done! Razz

If it's any help, I only felt nervous while I was waiting for my test. As soon as I got on the bike, I was fine.

Less changing tampons, more updates about how hard you failed it.

Laughing at the replies Laughing

Well I dun goofed right at the end of the test. Sad Got distracted by what another car was doing and took the wrong turn into a one way road ( there's two entrances into it and I took the one for traffic coming straight ahead as opposed to traffic coming from the left.)

Examiner said I had passed with flying colours if it wasn't for that.

I am now kicking myself very hard. Mad

Ah well, Dave, that answers the "what's the worst that could happen" question.

You could ride into a one way street and get plastered across the front of an artic. Very Happy

Smash it in next time (the test, not an artic).

The nerves settled somewhat but, were still there to some degree.

Never got one minor as it turns out. I'm so bloody annoyed at myself but I was paying more attention to a car coming in the opposite direction that seemed to be hesitating as to whether it was going to let me cross or not. By my logic, the risk of being hit by a car was more dangerous. Rolling Eyes

Got to wait four weeks under Manx law to re-take the test, but I sent in the form and paid up. Not planning on getting a bigger bike until March/April time but, my CBT runs out at the end of January, so need to crack it next time.

Thanks for the support folks Thumbs Up Very Happy

Just got supplies of beer, pizza and chocolate fudge cake in.

It's always the little things. I failed my car test first time because I tried filtering to the front at the lights.

Bad luck, should ace it next time at least by the sounds of it Thumbs Up

Bit of stress is never a bad thing, stops you getting too complacent or forgetting you're on a test riding super safely and slowly, as you will after passing, of course Wink

I felt like shit for my first two tests passed on the second and passed again on my third but didnt feel stressed. Good tip I got on BCF after my fail was dont post a thread here before the test. It just adds stress to the process.

Little things? Riding the wrong way down a one way street is hardly little.
