It was a while ago that I watched it but it's about the history of the race, the controversy surrounding it and the competitors stories from the beginning up to more recent times. Cars, bikes and trucks.

yeah think I have seen it, tells you why the moved it to south America due to the civil wars / terrorists in north Africa
still a repeat of that is better than "I'm a strictly celebrity crap dancer" or whatever is on mainstream TV

It didn't really have much detail on any particular vehicles.
It was actually a lot more negative then I remember, quite interesting but not great stuff for people that love the P2D.

Basically it was one guys dream that used to be great, things got really commercial and loads of people got killed. Some through accidents, some through terrorism which was why the race got moved to South America, the end.
