But lidl are selling a go pro look a like thing for about £80, waterproof to 60m HD video etc...

Thought it might be worth a go for someone?

Would appear to be a bargain. Would be interested to see the quality.

£89.99 is not "about £80", but thanks for being a marketeer's wet dream.

If you're after a blobby camera, you can get the well reviewed SJ1000 for "about" £50.

that actually looks alright though would mount to the bike not helmet, don't like the idea of a bulky camera stuck to my head Laughing

Right, I'm holding out for a decent £50 bullet camera. If the SJ1000 can do it with a screen, I'm sure the optics and electronics can be slipped into a mini-dildo.

I mention it only because it's similar to the Lidl one, can be had for significantly less, and has had a positive, comprehensive review.

+1

That does look interesting. Well done Mr Borg Thumbs Up

Been looking for something cheap to mount on the Pan and that looks like it fits the bill.

Techmoan on youtube

He is on a mission to find a decent action cam that is cheap.

He generally reviews all the ebay ones!

I watched the videos and thought ...nah.

Quality wise I'd want better. It looked grainy even in the daylight.

Did you watch it in 720p? It ok for the money.

Youtube compresses video files very badly. My videos were recorded on a decent Drift HD Ghost but YT made them look much worse than the edited files I uploaded.

Horses for courses I suppose, but worth mentioning that the Lidl version will have a 3 year warranty, and from my experience with them it's pretty much 'no quibble'.

Having bought a couple of EBay cheapies in the past the battery tends to let them down. Generally after about 6 months the battery life plummets.

Looks like zero anti shake properties. Quality whilst still is acceptable but would be interesting to see what it looks like at night.

I wouldn't call this camera a bargain when there are now so many other cheap cameras around but it looks to be good value and the time-lapse feature is cool.

Until they run out, same as always.

On balance I'd probably go for a mail order SJ1000 from a UK seller, but if you reckon you'll use the Lidl one for 3 years and not lose the receipt...

I quite like the look of the SVC200 which is just under £85 delivered. Techmoan recently said it's the best £100 (now £85...) action camera he has reviewed. Also agree that he is a top bloke, I have watched most of his videos due to a fetish I have with review videos Embarassed Shifty
