Hiya guys

When i take my test early next year (hopefully i pass).
I am set on getting a 250 2stroke or 4 i guess, enduro bike.
I want one thats reliable good for parts etc.

I have my eye on a Suzuki RMX250 and a Honda CRM250.
Can some one recommend any others or similar style.

Thanks alot Thumbs Up

I think those two are the only style. If you want a bike for more road use, a dr350 weighs a tad more and has a tad less power. However it comes it at just under 33hp, so no expesnive restrictors needed, presuming you will need them.
There is also the kmx200 (and maybe a kmx220?), but I don't think it's quite up there with the kmx/rmx, can be got quite a bit cheaper though.

I note you mention a 250 4 stroke. These are considered maybe a little better than a 125 2 stroke... they race in the same class.

A 400cc 4 stroke is considered similar to the 250 2 stroke.

Yamaha?

YZ250 - Two stroke
YZ250F - 4 stroke
WR250F - 4 stroke

Might be a bit too off road than on.

I'd have thought that the four stroke off roaders would be more reliable than the two as usual. I've heard (not an off roader myself) that the four strokes aren't as much fun though.

Another Yamaha - TT-R 250? Real nice looking, and they've always got one down at Parry's Killa. Thumbs Up

I had a crm250.

Mad bike. Crap on the road on knobblies. Would be a fun bike to own if it had 17" wheels and better brakes though.
