Notice you are bypassing the amazingness that is Milton Keynes Wink

La Rochelle and Tours Thumbs Up We stop off in Tours quite often on our way back up from the Limousin, and La Rochelle is a nice place to spend some time.

Are you stopping off to do the Le Mans museum?

End of June? Should get tickets to Hellfest in Clisson and add an extra 3 days to the trip if you're into rock music.

Was last in La Rochelle nearly 24 years ago and really liked it. Heading down the Atlantic coast this year so quite possibly it could be an overnighter. Enjoy your trip. Wink

Agreed don't like le Mans itself , but the museum at the circuit is well worth a visit.

Not a big fan of Northern France, bit dull for riding.

If you're going for the roads and scenery, do this. Get to Thonon in a day and then you're good to go.

Thank you for your sugestion, however I dont just go for the riding I like to go on holiday on a motorbike rather than go on a motorbiking holiday, I like to stay for a couple of days and have a day off of the bike and just be a normal ( normal ha ha) tourist
I'm sure we will get around to traveling further south.
We did travel from Spain through to france last year stayed in Bayonne

If you've never been there before, you should try and swing by Mont St Michel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mont_Saint-Michel

You're going right past it

We had a week in Normandy in May 2010 and loved the place. It becomes quite hilly inland with decent twisty roads. There's loads of nice towns and, obviously, loads of D-Day related sights. As someone mentioned, Mont St Michel is also impressive.
