Hesketh - new V twin and not a cruiser

After stumbling across British motorcycle firm Gladstone Motorcycles I also found the old Hesketh Motorcycles is still on the go.

A new model announced. Only 24 being built. So called the Hesketh 24. 1950cc V-Twin engine 120bhp.

Apparently a nod to James Hunt in the styling (so where's the bikini clad babes and champagne?).

Thoughts, 2 litre, 120hp. That is less than a basic tune car of the same size. It is double the size of the TL with the same power.

Nice suspension, shame they haven't got the frame/engine to utilise it to its full potential

I like that, tbh. It's different.

Only 24 off though? It's going to be monumentally expensive, heavy, thirsty and relatively slow.

I'd buy it on looks alone but I fear it may be a tad out of my league.

I believe it's a completely new outfit who just bought the name from some car boot sale. Run by an engineer though, which is a plus.

But it looks like they welded some scaffold poles around a tractor engine, then got bored half way through putting the plastics on it.

It'll make a nice ornament for the celebs and oil magnate's sons who buy them for their collections though.

Just realised that the tank is fake acting as an airbox.
So weight kept lower down in the bike.

It's the massive lump of an engine that makes it look lardy to me . (If the claimed power wasn't around that of bikes with a third the capacity wouldn't be so bad!)
Basic steel frame too.
