Pics to help with sizing advice ?
I'd go down a shop and try some on first. If shes as picky as my mrs was getting a set she found comfortable it will save a lot of frustration and returns
Got her a set of female RST ones like mine in the end which she says are really good. |

Slightly similar, my wife collects 50's rock n roll dresses (we do 50's jive)
As I've little sense of style and each make fits differently and real ones fit differently to modern re-productions it's very easy to get the wrong size.
This can result in us making a loss selling it on or having got a dress she loves that doesn't fit and we can't get one in her size.
To avoid this I make her a voucher for a dress so that she can choose a dress she likes that fits. ____________________ Looking to pass your CBT / Bike tests in Bury Lancashire? try www.focusridertraining.co.uk Would recommend.

But will she though? Is she really enthusiastic about your bike and like going on the back? If not, your thoughtful idea of buying her leathers might be a waste... ____________________ "The Internet is the first thing that humanity has built that humanity doesn't understand, the largest experiment in anarchy that we have ever had" |

In all the years I've owned bikes, and all during our married life, my wife showed no interest in bikes or biking although was happy for me to own and enjoy them.
I sold my Anni VFR and bought a Z750 which I enjoyed for about a year, but missed the fairing and sports / tourer bit, So, last year I bought a Sprint 955.
Deciding to go for a potter down to the coast one summers evening, I was stunned when my wife said she'd like to go, I said I was taking the bike, not the car.. I know says she, I'd like to go pillion.
The reasoning and logic behind the change in heart was, "it's a pretty bike, and I like the colour" ..womens logic that is !! She loved it !
Following week we had to by the gear.....she's petit and likes to look nice... didn't want leathers, so we went for Kelvar jeans with knee and thigh protection, FT boots, and a nice fitting girlie RST jacket and a AGV helmet...
She loves the set up, the jeans are great for walking around in, the jacket light enough to carry...the shorty boots very comfortable.

I'd personally take her down the kevlar jeans route maybe with a fitted sporty jacket, one of the things my gf dislikes about going on the bike to places is traipsing around in textiles or leathers at the other end, at least the jeans and leather jacket combo has a chance of looking normal to the casual observer
.......................................................................................................
After a few trips on the Sprint there was a hint of something more comfortable with perhaps a top box ( I ...kin HATE top boxes ) for her make-up, and panniers for more make-up..so, bought a 900 Diversion. She loves biking more now...slow, plodding, comfortable...and a bonus.. a biking holiday this year in Normandy for a week !!! I've still got the Sprint, when I can sneak out on my own with me mates !!!
So perhaps when Mrs Sidewinder goes to chose gear, she may well decide the jeans / textile jacked is the way to go...

Fergie, sounds about right!
the missus has her RST black leather jacket (plain black, as it makes her look more slimming according to her)
she'd been wearing a pair of my leathers that, um, shrunk.. and no longer fit me. they're comfy for her an all, but truthfully, i think that because they aint a tight fit around the rear region (my ass is bigger than hers it'd seem!), she wants something better, likewise though she hated sitting around in leathers once we were off the bike, and i explained kevlar to her and i keep catching her looking, so i decided i'd get the voucher for her.
the bear idea is a great idea though, think i'll be sure using that tip! ____________________ Current: Kawasaki ZL600 Eliminator
