Nice to see they are spending time prosecuting people who aren't putting anyone in danger.....

Their mistake was admitting to driving without due care and attention. Sad

All those videos look like they're filmed in carparks/private roads Thinking

Wasn't aware that was even an offence unless you're causing a public disturbance to nearby pedestrians etc - of which there seems to be none.

The real reason is probably to punish him for having a pink seat and exhaust though, have to pin something on him for such a terrible crime.

Thinking only the bike appeared to be on a public road.
The cars appeared to be on private land (industry estate car park?).
So unless footage missing does this now mean you can be done for driving with undue care and attention on private land? Confused

I'm guessing here it's maybe land the public have access to. I'd still like some clarification, I'm curious like that.

That'd be news for touring/stock car races then Rolling Eyes

The motorcycle ones even more stupid in the fact it doesn't even move - it just does a burn out. Surely to be done for DWDCA you need to be DRIVING. Its like getting done for revving your engine in neutral Confused

If the road/area is accessible, then the Road Traffic Act applies, private land isn't truly private in terms of road offences, unless it is truly sealed off from public access.

Some of the stupidness is taking place very close to other people's property, so I have no sympathy. If they had caused damage to anything they'd have just driven off.

How do you know they'd just have driven off? And even if they had driven off then the property owner wouldn't be left out of pocket.

Are you some type of safety nazi or do you just accept anything said by the police? 'They said it's dangerous therefore they must be right' Rolling Eyes

Your "either or" logic fails because I am neither.

If you have ever lived in flats, and had to park your vehicle in a carpark where chavs gather to do stupid stunts that they think are cool, like I have, you might have a different view.

I love the scathing little comments written onto the video.

"That'll be a new tyre then"

Clearly he'll be dead upset about that. Will have definitely used a new tire and not a bald one like, for example, every other person who ever performed a burnout ever?

So you are advocating the actions of the popo in this case?
You advocate prosecuting someone for doing something that MIGHT be considered dangerous?

The stunts are stupid in your opinion. Has your vehicle been crashed into by people messing around with cars/bikes?

And in the video, it looks more like an industrial estate than parking for a block of flats. Wink

They're causing no more noise than you'd get living next to a main road anyway.

Maybe its the smoke from the tyre, possibly blowing across the path of someone, temporarily blinding them and causing them to trip on banana skin.

Would that time and place be a secluded spot without other people around preferably off road?

Or do you just mean what mean what most people mean when they say 'a time and a place'... 'never do it anywhere'...

All very local to me.

The bike has come past me out of that industrial estate at silly speeds.

It's an access road to the units but still public.
