Real Motorsport has now stepped in and hopes racing will restart in spring.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council said it was "guardedly optimistic" a compromise between residents and the track could be found.

One of the guys behind Real Motorsport is Hawk Racing team (BSB Buildbase BMW) owner Stuart Hicken, the other is ex racer Eddie Roberts. Don't know if this will be of benefit to Mallory or not.

Apparently the local council is being more flexible and are talking about allowing 128 days of use this time round, subject to NIMBY approval probably.

That's the ones. Think the council will be weighing up the views of the whiny locals against the (apparent) 145 full time jobs and benefits of over £10m revenue into the local economy.
