I've just changed my bars for renthals, when removing my OE bars i damaged the screws that hold the RHS switch gear together and i have had to wate over a week for these screws to come from my local dealer. I've got them in place and have just gone to start the bike, press the starter and nothing happened.
I have no idea where to look for the problem. I've tried the kill switch and tried it with the side stand up. The battery has been conected to an optimate which says its charged and in good condition. I've opened up the RHS swich gear again to have a look and everything seams to be conected.
Thanks for your help.
J

Hi

Basic things first, have you checked the fuses? Possible that you shorted something out in the switchgear when fitting the bars.

After that, time to start poking round with a multimeter.

All the best

Keith

Thanks for your advise, i was jsut pokeing around looking for loose wires, i gave the leads going to the clutch leaver thingy a shove and they move in abit and then it would start.
I'm now trying to decide how to wire up my heated grips.
Thanks
J
