Why the fuck do they do that?
its pointless!
( unless maybe you're carrying nitro glycerine)

My wee vans the same size as a normal/smallish car
and I just straddle those little lumpy ones and hardly feel it
There's no need to veer into the middle of the road.

Perhaps those dumb bastards think they're going to hit the great pyramid of Giza or summat.
maybe they're on drugs?

I have more issues with things like this in the car than I have on the bike, keep saying I'm going to buy an old landrover and a tin of hamerite

Sorry ... I don't understand the account of the incident.
Maybe if there was some form of visual representation to aid my understanding ... using some form of digital canvas and PAINT if you will, to scribe a diagram Rolling Eyes

Laughing

I'm sure I'll go down as sounding like a complete prick saying this ... but if you know your local area / commute is filled with blind fucktards.
Why are you still riding around like they are all saints?
I always test the water when riding through a new area, treating everyone like armless, dyslectic, phone wielding monkeys.
Yet I'm sure you've had this problem before, shouldn't you of already purchased the tank Laughing

I travel down this road regularly. These speed humps are ridiculous - there's lots of them around the Thanet area (and elsewhere, of course). If they're going to put down humps, they need the ones that cover the whole road to stop moron cagers pulling this trick.

Safer to use New Haine Road - and just filter the traffic, rather than using (old) Haine Road which helps you bypass the queues but at the expense of some cage fighter wiping you out.

I don't know what the complaint is about. Steve McQueen managed it without any problems...

Can anyone translate into English?

It sounds a bit like he went knee down round a bend into a 30mph zone, fully committing to using the middle of the road to avoid the clearly signed speed humps, while failing to observe that two oncoming cars were already occupying that area of space.

Then rather than slowing down, moving safely to the left, and coming to a stop if necessary, he gripped and twisted and chose to swerve very slightly left onto the speed hump at the last second, thereby causing a crisis where none need have existed.

Surely not... Thinking

Indeed; I can just see trying to get a 'no fault' claim.
"Well, I approached the traffic calming WAY too fast to go over it, so had to use the middle of the road, where others vehicles were already doing the same; I caused another vehicle to panic and slow down because I was directly in their path."

You should get a Tank, but I don't think it's going to stop you getting bullied on the road.

Good idea Divvy, if you get a tank you wont have to worry about how to clean a visor.

Oh and yes, this also; I always though it was because I was on a bike.
Then I had a Passat Estate that was pretty close to a tank and cost me £115, looking it too - and it was obvious enough that the total worth of my car would be more than a small scratch on a lot of the vehicles that STILL pulled out on me, cut me up and so on.

Surely this is your own fault for going to fast to go over the speed humps ?

Yes, HE wanted to go though the gaps and was pissed off/shocked/fucked when a car did exactly that.

Take that rage and direct it at the local council - get them to put double white lines on that road.
