Yeah great fun.
Dodging blown over trees and being blown into speedbumps trying to go around them.

It was pretty mild London way until well after dark. Biggest problem was still the Blackwall tunnel situation.

Been off work and indoors for a few days, didn' even really keep up with the news much.

Had a shock today when i attempted to drive upto bristol. Double journey time. 4 closed roads. One road so badly flooded that the oncoming cars going about 3-5mph, sent a wave up over my bonnet and the roof of the car Thinking Saw quite a few abandoned cars along the way on mud-covered roads as well Laughing guess it must of been really bad at some point.

Did see someone on a Bmw GS actually using it properly for a change, ploughed through the flooded road like ewan mcgregor Cool

Fell over, needed a support crew to get him going again? Thinking

Oh, yesterday, sure. Kept "forgetting" things, had to go out again and again. Whistle

Today, no. Mrs Borg prohibited it. Tut Tut Consequences of said nay-saying were bargained for and agreed on. Thumbs Up

theres hardly a day that goes by where i'm not out on my bike .

before i put my bike away it will get washed even if it 11pm .

last week i had my busa & rocket out on gritted roads & found myself washing the 2 of them in freezing weather at 10 pm !

i don't know if i'm the only 1 out there that does this ???

what i do know is as i'm getting older i really can't be arsed washing them all the time so next year i'm going to buy a older bike .

i'm thinking some sort of 2 stroke bike that will go off road & on road , i don't have a clue what yet as long as it has a big engine & is loud Very Happy

Been out a few times over the past couple of days. Not riding for fun though, general commuting/errand running etc.

Wind and rain doesn't bother me to be honest (the added challenge can be quite fun). Ice is something I do not enjoy, however.

Yeah, been riding through the weather. Was out at about 9 last night - really was dangerous. Saw slates randomly coming off roofs, bins suddenly blowing across roads, loads of tree branches down all over the place and the bloody torrential downpour didn't help either. Saw a guy on a pizza delivery bike get blown up a kerb and onto the pavement but fortunately no harm done.

A lot less windy today, though there's supposed to be more of the same on its way for later in the week.

Went for a ride on Sunday on my new Sprint ST 955. Well it's in my name, but paid for by a friend who is coming over from Canada for a couple of months in the spring. Did a bit of riding in the evenings last week on my commute and to get said sprint home on Thursday night.

I had to drive the car up from Southampton to my parents' in Essex yesterday and it took over 8 hours! I wish I was on the bike. Crying or Very sad

I went to work on the bike yesterday, I had to take it to get worked on at the nearby menders - turned out the chain/sprocket they ordered hadn't arrived.

'Are you mad?' he said as I turned up. Neutral

The trip home last night was deeply unpleasant. Lashing rain and sharp gusts. I went over the Westway flyover on the A40 (the most exposed part of my route) like a tipsy grandma -- slowly and blown by the wind all over the road. I'm hoping to look back at last night as the low point of the winter.

Today, on the other hand, was a joy. I went in as normal at 6am and I think myself and a black cab were sharing all of Central London. Traffic was light on the way home too, for the first time in months, except for an easy filter passed a collision between two Royal Mail lorries ( Rolling Eyes ) on the Westway. I felt I could see light/spring at the end of the tunnel. All was right with the world...

I have this thing with 4 wheels, and a roof, and doors, and a heater, it is brilliant for bumbling about in.

Fair credit to anyone who chooses to endure this crap on two wheels, but I find the cars easy enough to slip about in, the bike is for funtime only at present Wink
