Slightly obscure Q:

If you order a new bike from a dealer who's prepared to deliver- can u store it in your garage without insurance etc......until you actually pass your test and are able to ride it???

yes you can however you may have to declare it SORN if it doesnt come with tax. If it does then your fine to keep it locked up till you can legally ride it.

Yea. And actually LOCK it up with lock and key. Because if it does go missing, it wont be down as house insurance either... (as Found out. Sad )

Locking up is a yes. I got a disk lock and a big feck off chain. Right- next stage is the ordering.

You only need insurance if it is going to be on public roads, which does include parked on the road.
